Lord Ganesha is traditionally represented with his vehicle, the mouse, which is supposed to symbolise the ego. Ideally, the mouse should stay at the feet, so that the ego is tamed. Any action should be lead from the heart first, which most of our leaders (especially from Sri Lanka) seem to repetedly fail at recognizing. They are usually trapped in their own ego, interested mostly by ways to attain more power and money, independently of how much they already have taken/stolen
